Aussie greats Sam and Alicia hit at Melbourne Park
Sam Stosur’s off-season training has brought her to Melbourne’s National Tennis Centre as she prepares for 2016.
Stosur has been working with Tennis Australia physical performance coach Stefano Barsacchi, focusing mainly on fitness and gym training.
Yet she has been completing light hitting sessions as well; on Monday, she hit with compatriot and former world No.8 Alicia Molik.
Molik has coached Stosur intermittently over the years, both in her role as Australian Fed Cup captain and when Stosur was between coaches in 2013.
The pair also played out a memorable Sydney WTA final in 2005, which Molik won 7-5 in the third set.
Stosur will continue to train in Melbourne and will open her 2016 campaign at the Brisbane International.
